John Forsythe


John Forsythe is a third-generation attorney who resides in Tacoma with his wife, Sarah. Originally from Billings, Montana, John relocated to the Pacific Northwest after receiving his law degree. John’s hobbies and interests include hiking, competitive powerlifting, and attempting to train his very stubborn Rottweiler, Grizzly.


John received his law degree from the University Of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Texas International Law Journal and the Texas Young Lawyers Interscholastic Mock Trial Team. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College in 2007, where he graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Economics and Ancient Studies. He is licensed to practice in the State of Washington, and the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts.

Areas of Practice

John focuses on personal injury. Before joining Campbell Barnett P.L.L.C., John worked with Lane Powell PC in Seattle, WA. While there, John focused on personal injury. John’s experience as a personal injury defense attorney has given him a unique perspective to plaintiff-side personal injury work. John understands the defense perspective and knows how to position a case to achieve an advantageous settlement or successful trial.

While at Lane Powell, John also enjoyed an active practice before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Washington State Human Rights Commission, handling administrative charges for Fortune 100 companies.

Professional Memberships/Civic Activities:

John is a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association New & Young Lawyers Section and an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice. John is also a former board member and Vice President of the Puyallup Main Street Association.
