Steve has over 30 years of experience successfully representing clients in a wide variety of business and real estate legal matters. He enjoys working with his business clients in the formation of new companies, ownership, and management of closely held businesses and in the sale and acquisition of businesses and their assets. His experience is real estate matters includes leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements and restrictive covenants, title insurance claims, boundary line disputes and foreclosure actions. He represents clients in litigation when necessary to protect their property and contract rights, manage shareholder/ownership agreements and disputes, and resolve employment issues. Steve has unique experience in land use and business regulation cases including representing clients in administrative and regulatory hearings.


Steve and his wife Pam are long-time residents of Pierce County and have three children. Steve is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, cycling, salmon fishing, and golf.


Steve graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Economics in 1975, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1982. Steve was a member of the National Moot Court Competition Team and was awarded membership in the National Order of Barristers.
